August 2019HA album cover

We have had a great summer!! The new CD, Home Again,  was released at the beginning of June, just in time for our Vern’s Stage set at the CBA’s Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival! We also had a lovely time in Los Gatos at the end of July for The Vasona Vibrations Summer Concert Series, and helped raise a recors amount of money for the Second Harvest Food Bank! The Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival in August was a rocking good time and through all of these events sold a bunch of our new CDS!! Want one? Just drop us a line and we will be sure to send one out to you! It will soon be available on CD Baby,as well!

The end of September will bring a concert in Atascadero(near Paso Robles) for the St Williams Parish Festival! This will include a pasta dinner as well as our concert. Please check out this link for more info!!

March 2019

Well, we are happy to say that we are in the final stages of our 3rd CD(I know…its about time!), Home Again. We are expecting to have it out by May…stay tuned. In other news, Billy is recovering from his 2nd surgery in 2 months for carpal tunnel and unlnar nerve issues. He’s on the mend and hopes to be back in full swing of guitar playing by the time the CD is released!! Pete is also recovering after a fall and injury to his elbow, but is almost fully back! Luckily Rob and I are still mostly in tact! Many thanks to our awesome fill ins; Henry Warde and Jim Mintun, playing guitar for Billy, and Ella Warde and Luke Abbott playing fiddle for Pete! We so appreciate there help!

August 2018

We enjoyed the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival  at the San Benito Historical Park in Hollister. It actually had been 3 years since we played there!! Great to see old firends and jamming buddies and to hear all the other fine bands in the lineup. If you missed it, there is always next year….mark your calendars now! It is always held the second weekend in August. Here’s Rob doing a bang up job on stage!

September 2016

We were so honored and pleased to be part of the Santa Cruz Guitar 40th Anniversary Concert! We played at the Kuumbwa as part of their “Love your Local Artist” night! Billy Moore was sitting in for Rob, as he was out of town. We had a great time at this well put together and well attended event! Carolyn Sills did a fine job organizing!!

June 2016

Billy enjoyed emceeing at the Father’s Day Festival in Grass Valley this past summer! He got to annouce on Sunday am, which included our favs, the above mentioned Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass. They put on a fine show…..and so did Billy!

January 2016

Had tons of fun opening for our fav traditional bluegrass band from back east, Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass! Check out a youtube video of a bit of our set….We are so happy he was chosen as the IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year!

We have been having a great time playing our regular gigs at Phil’s Fish Market and Sam’s BBQ. We are pleased that the regular crowd at Sam’s has gotten quite a bit bigger over the last few years! Thanks to all our buddies from over the hill who come to see us!

We’d love for you to check out our CDs! We have two for you to listen to, and they are in stores everywhere. Well, actually you might need to order one from us if you want one. We have them with us at all of our gigs, so that is another way to get a hold of them! Dirty Water and Nightbird are ready and waiting for a spot on your CD shelf!!

Number 3 is in the works….expected to be on shelves everywhere by summer 2017!

Sam of Sam’s BBQ was kind enough to take a video of us playing 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, which he put on Youtube. Check it out.….thanks, Sam!! Sam also included us in his spot on a local tv show. Take a peek.

If you haven’t already, please check out some of our videos on youtube. Some were taken at the 2008 Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival by Nancy Zuniga. She actually put many on there of the great acts we were all lucky to see at the festival. Billy rocks on Will You Be Lonesome and belts it out with feeling on Faded Rose. Let us know what you think!! Much appreciation to Nancy for documenting so much of the festival !!

Nancy also uploaded a video she had taken of “Can You Hear Me Now” from the 2009 FDF in Grass Valley where we played on the Vern’s Stage.
